One of fundamental aims of a university education is to prepare better citizens for the country. While the ideal is an extremely noble one, most universities tend to focus on academic excellence as a means to achieve it. There is a dearth of systems that nurture and promote tomorrow's potential "change makers" within the student base. NSEF aim is to empower the students through exposing to the field of social entrepreneurship through various activities.

The National Social Entrepreneurship Forum is a non profit organization promoting Social Entrepreneurship among the youth of India.

Vision

To inspire and build people and organizations, who can effectively respond to social challenges, lead the movement for grass roots development and be the premier place for social entrepreneurs to meet, collaborate, learn and develop social innovations.

Mission

To promote social entrepreneurship and inspire, educate and support new social entrepreneurs and create environments where they can succeed.

Goals

1. To facilitate resources for social entrepreneurs through mentoring and networking.
2. To raise awareness about social entrepreneurship amongst entrepreneurs and youth.
3. Participate and collaborate in programs with congruent organizations for funding as well as knowledge exchange.
4. Establish and foster an open forum for the exchange of ideas, concerning the societal well being of the national and global community.
5. Over a period of 5 years, shift from resource facilitator to resource provider for promoting and fostering social entrepreneurship.
